Early Years

O'Shea Jackson was born on June 15, 1969 in South Central Los Angeles. He has an older brother and a half-sister, who was killed when O'Shea was 12. In his teens, Jackson developed an interest in hip hop, forming a partnership with fellow rapper Sir Jinx in the rap group C.I.A. (Cru In Action) and performing at parties hosted by another close friend, Andre "Dr. Dre" Young.
